Jim Armstrong is the principal and founder of J. E. Armstrong Architects, Inc. He was educated at the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Architecture in 1986 and started his own firm just five years later. With over 29 years of experience in architecture, Jim has been involved in a wide range of projects including retail, restaurants, custom and multi-family residential, educational, faith and worship, and master planning. He is licensed in the states of California, Colorado, and Hawaii and is NCARB certified.
Jim is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Congress for the New Urbanism. He has won two local AIA awards, a Santa Barbara beautiful award, a Montecito beautiful award, and City of Ventura Historical Building of the Year.
